Enrollment

Kindergarten students must be five years of age on or before September 1 of the year of enrollment. First graders must be six years old on or before September 1st of the year of enrollment.

At the time of registration, the following must be presented:
    1) Baptismal certificate or facsimile copy
    2) Certified copy of birth certificate
    3) Enrollment health information with up-to-date and physician-verified immunization record
    4) Copy of school records from previously attended school

Admittance to St. Mark’s School will be based upon the following prioritization:
    1) Student who have a brother/sister currently at St. Mark’s School
    2) Families new to St. Mark’s School will be assigned points based upon the following factors:
          a) Registration in St. Mark’s Parish before or within one month of the registration for St. Mark’s School
          b) One or both parents involved in at least one parish ministry
          c) Parents contribute to the parish in some perceptible way or have a recommendation of a parish priest
          d) Registration in St. Mark’s Parish for more than two years
          e) Child has been involved in a religious education program either in a parish or school or the family submits 

               a letter detailing the reason they are requesting enrollment at St. Mark’s School

The point values are intended to help determine the degree of active involvement in the life of the parish for those families registering children. The higher the number of total points assigned for a family’s participation in the life of the parish, the higher a family will be placed on the list of registrations. Priority will not be given solely on a first come first served basis.

Efforts will be made to have a proportional number of boys and girls in each classroom.
