History
In 1956 land was bought on Cole Road and Northview streets by the Catholic Diocese of Boise, in 1967, Sacred Heart Church built a mission school on that site which would later be called St. Mark’s School. The school opened with three classrooms and each year a new one classroom was added until 1970 when construction stopped with six classrooms.
We continue to strive to make St. Mark’s School the best place for a Catholic Education. Through the years parents completed a majority of the work involved in opening this new school. They hung the chalkboards, laid the floors. It was truly a school built from love and dedication. In 1981 a 7th and 8th grade were added along with a kitchen gym, stage and adult Ed room. In 1998 two portable classrooms were added and in 1999 St. Mark’s had its first kindergarten class.
