Community Service

As Disciples of Christ, each student participates in community service as a part of their religion curriculum. These hours are completed outside of the school day and provides the student with an understanding of their role in the community while utilizing the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. St. Mark’s students, staff, and parents are a significant presence in both the Parish and the Boise Community.

In addition, students will participate in class or school-wide community service projects. Examples of these acts of stewardship are praying for Seminarians and writing letters of support, visiting the elderly on a monthly basis, providing food for the parish food bank, donating sandwich fixings and preparing sandwiches for the Corpus Christi House during Catholic Schools Week, Red Ribbon Week, collecting toiletries for local organizations, raising money for various charities, food drives, coat drives, book drives, diaper drives and Optional Spirit Day that collects money to donate to a charity.
