St. Mark's School Foundation

HISTORY

The St. Mark’s School Foundation, Inc., was established by Father John F. Donoghue in 1989 as a corporation exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code, and to qualify as a non-profit corporation eligible for contributions for which a credit against the Idaho State Income Tax may be obtained under section 63-3029A of the Idaho Code. The Foundation’s primary purpose is "To stimulate the interests of students, faculty, alumni and friends of St. Mark’s School, or its successor, in its development of educational programs at the pre-kindergarten through eighth grade level." The Foundation’s Articles and Bylaws are designed to sustain and grow the corpus and provide yearly funding. Each year the Foundation provides the school a grant of approximately 5% of the corpus to ensure the sustainability and growth of the Foundation’s corpus while continuing to support the scholarship efforts of the foundation.
